Our client is a leading Auckland based road transport equipment manufacturer with a long established history of product innovation and quality output.
The business is steadily moving forward in annual revenue growth, market presentation and production capacity in line with current and future sales opportunities.
To further develop and support existing customers the management team seek to employ a hands-on supervisor for the service and repairs workshop.
It is likey that the successful applicant will be a qualified fitter welder or engineer with road transport manufacturing experience , a people person with strong supervisory skills.
It is necessary to have some basic computer skills, be sound under pressure and able to interpret engineering plans.
Applicants with heavy diesel mechanical skills with engineering experience will also be considered.
The main responsibility for the role being to manage a small team of experienced fitting and welding staff to provide leadership, assistance and motivation, as required, to help the team achieve its production deadlines.
This is a key role and as the business grows opportunities for advancement could be available.
An attractive hourly rate, overtime rate and other benefits will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
